Pickleball Park NZ presents: Fright Night Open 2026
Get ready for a full weekend of competitive pickleball with a Halloween twist at Pickleball Park NZ in Tauranga.
The Fright Night Open 2026 runs over Halloween Weekend, 30 October–1 November, bringing together players from Tauranga, the Bay of Plenty and around New Zealand for a multi-event tournament across three days.
Expect plenty of serious pickleball on court, with a little questionable decision-making when it comes to outfits. 🎃 Costumes are encouraged over Halloween weekend, with prizes for our Best Dressed Team alongside the competition for medals.

FORMAT
All pool games, quarterfinals, and semi-final games will be played to 15 win by 2. All medal games will be played best 2-of-3, first to 11 win by 2.
All divisions are Round Robin for pool play; the subsequent playoff rounds will be single elimination.
Tournament results will be submitted to DUPR, giving players the opportunity for competitive rated play while maintaining the social, welcoming atmosphere Pickleball Park tournaments are known for. A registered DUPR account is required for tournament registration.
The tournament will be played indoors on Pickleball Park's four dedicated, individually fenced courts, so there are no worries about what Tauranga’s spring weather decides to do.
The official ball used in this tournament will be the Six Zero Pro Pickleball (https://www.sixzeropickleball.com/en-nz/products/6-0-pro-pickleball).
Whether you’re chasing a medal, looking for quality DUPR competition, travelling away for a weekend of pickleball, or just want an excuse to play dressed as something ridiculous, we’d love to have you join us.
