Player FAQ
Quick answers to the questions players ask most. If there's a full guide for the answer, it's linked at the end.
Registering
Yes. Tick as many divisions as you like on Select Divisions, and pay for them all together. Some tournaments give a multi-division discount when you enter more than one.
Click Manage Registration on the tournament page, then New Entry (shown while registration is open). If your status says Registration incomplete, the button reads Complete Registration instead. On the Your Entry page, click Add More Divisions.
When you submit your divisions, your spots are reserved for 15 minutes (or until registration closes, if that's sooner) while you finish registering. The Spot reserved box shows the time left. In the last 2 minutes, an Add 5 minutes link appears, which you can use once. If time runs out, click Check Availability to reserve the spots again (if they're still free), or Discard Registration to start over.
If the tournament has a waitlist, the full division shows Join waitlist instead of a price. Tick it. Joining is free. If a spot opens up, you're emailed a waitlist offer, and you claim the spot by finishing your registration and paying. If the division shows Sold out, there's no waitlist for it, or the waitlist has closed. Contact the organizer.
No. You only pay if a spot opens up and you claim it.
Until the deadline in your waitlist offer email. It's usually 24 hours, but the organizer can change it. You must finish your registration, including paying, before the deadline. If you miss it, you're taken off the waitlist for that division. You can join again, starting at the end of the queue.
Team divisions are entered by the organizer, so they don't show when you register. Contact the organizer to enter your team.
League and session players are added by the organizer. Contact them to join.
Only if the tournament requires it. If it does, registration has a Connect Your DUPR step marked Required. Some of these tournaments also use DUPR rating ranges (DUPR gating), so you can only enter divisions that match your rating.
Partners and invitations
After you submit your registration at the end, not when you choose them on Invite Partner.
Invitations don't expire. Ask your partner to accept, or ask the organizer to change your partner.
You aren't told automatically, so check with your partner. Their name stays on your division, and you can't choose someone else yourself. Contact the organizer, who can replace them. (On a waitlist you can change your partner yourself. See Join a waitlist and claim a spot.)
Each player pays their own share. You pay yours when you register. Your partner pays theirs after they accept.
Payments and refunds
On Review and Submit, the last step. Nothing is charged until you click Complete Payment. One exception: a required membership from a different organization is paid for separately, at the membership step. If you're only joining waitlists, the button reads Submit Registration and nothing is charged.
It's LADER's fee, shown as its own Platform fee line on Review and Submit, separate from the registration fee. You pay it even when the division is free. It's usually 2.50 in the tournament's currency (HK$15 for HKD, ฿60 for THB) per division entry, up to two fees per tournament. You always see the exact amount before you pay.
On Review and Submit, click Add coupon code, enter your code and click Apply, before you pay.
Something on your side is still missing: form answers, a waiver to accept, a payment, a membership or a DUPR connection. Your partner's progress doesn't change your status. Click Manage Registration on the tournament page, then Complete Registration, and follow the steps.
The organizer has probably added something new: form questions, a new or updated waiver, a membership requirement or a DUPR requirement. You'll get an email titled "New requirements for" followed by the tournament name. Disconnecting your DUPR account does this too, in tournaments that require DUPR. Click Complete Registration on My Registration to finish.
On My Registration, go to Form Answers and click Edit Details.
Contact the organizer and ask them to withdraw you. Click Contact Host on My Registration to see their contact details. To leave a waitlist, click Leave Waitlist on My Registration.
Refunds are up to the organizer and their refund policy. If they give you a refund, it goes back to the card or account you paid with.
If your payment went through but something failed afterwards, the button changes to Try Again. Click it to finish. You won't be charged again. If you're unsure, check My Registration before paying again.
